
Only when the colors of the leaves start to change to beautiful red, orange and yellow colors, does it really feel like it is autumn. To get that autumn feeling at home, I decorated my house with crocheted mushrooms, pumpkins and the leaves you see above.
Below you will find the free pattern of the autumn leaf. You can crochet along with the video (including chart) or follow the written instructions.
If you use sport weight cotton yarn and a 2.5 mm crochet hook, the leaf will be approximately 7 cm (2.7 inch) long. But you can use other yarn weights as well. In the video, I use medium weight yarn.

- 1 dc in the 3rd ch
- 1 tc in the next 2 ch
- 1 dc in the next 2 ch
- 1 hdc in the next 3 ch
- 1 sc in the next ch
Part 2 – the top of the leaf
- 1 picot
Part 3 – the left side of the leaf
- continue to the other side of the foundation chain. 1 sc in the first ch
- 1 hdc in the next 3 ch
- 1 dc in the next 2 ch
- 1 tc in the next 2 ch
- 1 dc in the last ch
- Chain 2. 1 sl st in the center of the leaf (the bottom of the first dc stitch)
