You can use this star as an ornament for the Christmas tree or as decoration on a Christmas card or gift wrapping. It is a nice small project for your leftover yarn. The size of the star depends on the yarn weight and crochet hook you choose. The stars I crocheted as an example, are made with Scheepjes Stonewashed yarn and a 3.5 mm crochet hook. They measure approximately 7 cm.
The crochet pattern of the star can be found below. You can crochet along with the video, which also includes the chart, or follow the written instructions.
- Chain – ch
- Slip Stitch – sl st
- Single Crochet – sc
- Single crochet 2 together – sc2tog
- Half double crochet – hdc
- Double crochet – dc
- You can use any yarn. I used Scheepjes Stonewashed (sport weight blend yarn)
- Crochet hook 3.5 mm
- Stitch Marker
- Tapestry Needle
