How to Crochet the Cable Stitch

How to Crochet the Cable Stitch

After studying and testing many different cable stitches, I came up with my own cable stitch variation. Crocheting cables can feel a bit tricky at first, but there’s a video included with this tutorial that walks you through each step of the way. And don’t worry, this isn’t the most complicated cable stitch out there, so don’t let it scare you off.

Cable stitches have one side that looks especially pretty. It’s such a beautiful stitch for a blanket or a cushion, but it also works perfectly for a clean, stylish men’s scarf.

On this page, I walk you through 6 rows. After that, you can just keep repeating rows 3 to 6 to continue. For this cable stitch, you’ll start with a number of chains that’s a multiple of 14, plus 3 extra chains.
