There are already over 40 crochet stitch tutorials on this website and I plan to create many more. Today I will explain how to crochet this nice alternating cluster stitch. There are many different cluster stitches, they can vary in the number of stitches incorporated in the cluster, but the stitch used in the cluster can also differ. The cluster stitch that I am going to explain to you, contains 4 double crochet stitches.
If you work this stitch with 3 different colors, you don’t have to fasten off your yarn after each row. You can guide the yarn on both sides of your work and crochet an edge over it afterward.
The stitches used in this tutorial are: Chain, double crochet and cluster stitch with 4 double crochet.
Below you will find the video, the crochet chart and written instructions.

Step 2: Yarn over, insert the hook in the same stitch. Yarn over, pull the yarn through the stitch. Yarn over, pull the yarn through 2 loops on your hook. You now have 3 loops left on your crochet hook.
Step 3: Yarn over, insert the hook in the same stitch. Yarn over, pull the yarn through the stitch. Yarn over, pull the yarn through 2 loops on your hook. You now have 4 loops left on your crochet hook.
