How to Crochet the Leaf Stitch

I think this is such a spectacular stitch, and it’s surprisingly easy to crochet as well. With just chains and double crochets, you can create a gorgeous leafy texture with a natural, organic look. It’s ideal for a warm autumn scarf, an elegant wrap, or even a pretty tablecloth with a subtle leaf pattern.
In this tutorial, I walk you through the first 7 rows. You can continue by repeating rows 2 – 7. For the Leaf Stitch, start with a foundation chain that is a multiple of 16 + 6 extra chains.
