Special Stitches:

  • Mini Bean -Insert the hook through the indicated stitch, yarn over and pull the yarn through the stitch, yarn over and insert the hook through the same stitch. Yarn over and pull the yarn through the stitch. You will have 4 loops on your hook now, yarn over and pull the yarn through all 4 loops.

Chain a multiple of 2 + 1

Row 1
1 Mini Bean (see above instructions) in the 3rd chain from the hook, chain 1. *Skip 1 chain, Mini Bean in the next chain, chain 1*. Repeat between * and * until the end of the row. Turn.

Row 2
Chain 1 (you’ve already worked a chain 1 at the end of the previous row, so you will have 2 chains now). Work this row in the Mini Beans of the previous row, skip the chains between the Mini Beans. 1 Mini Bean in the first Mini Bean of the previous row, chain 1. *Skip the chain of the previous row, 1 Mini Bean in the Mini Bean of the previous row, chain 1*. Repeat between * and * until the end of the row. Turn.
