Ch 3, 1 dc in the first stitch. *Skip 2 stitches, 2 dc in the space between the stitches of the previous row.* Repeat between * and * until you reach the end of the row. Work 2 dc in the turning chain of the previous row. Turn.

Row 3

Ch 3, Skip the first 2 stitches, 2 dc in the space between the stitches of the previous row. *Skip 2 stitches, 2 dc in the space between the stitches of the previous row.* Repeat between * and * until you reach the end of the row. At the end of the row, work 1 dc in the turning chain of the previous row. Turn.

Keep repeating rows 2 and 3.
