- Row 2: chain 1 (counts as 1 single crochet). Skip 1 stitch. 1 single crochet in each stitch to the end. Turn.
- Row 3: Chain 3 (counts as 1 double crochet). *Skip 1 stitch, 1 double crochet in next stitch. 1 double crochet into the skipped stitch (working over the previous double crochet.* Repeat from * to * until the last stitch. Work 1 single crochet into the last stitch. Turn.
Keep repeating row 2 and 3.
