Crochet Pattern Chevron Baby Blanket
Chain 191 with light blue, or chain a multiple of 21 + 2 extra. Don’t work too tightly here, you can also grab a larger hook for the foundation chain.
Row 1
To create a neatly finished edge, we will work row 1 into the back bumps of the foundation chain (see video).
3 sc in the 2nd chain from the hook, 1 sc in each of the next 9 ch, skip 2 ch, 1 sc in each of the next 9 ch. *5 sc in the next ch, 1 sc in each of the next 9 ch, skip 2 ch, 1 sc in the next 9 ch*. Repeat between * and * until you have 1 chain left. 3 sc in the last ch. Turn.

This row is worked into the back loops.
Ch 1, 2 sc in the first stitch, 1 sc in each of the next 10 stitches. *Skip 2 stitches, 1 sc in each of the next 10 stitches, 3 sc in the next stitch, 1 single crochet into the next 10 stitches.* Repeat between * and * until you have 13 stitches left. When you have reached the last 13 stitches: Skip 2 stitches, 1 sc in each of the next 10 stitches, 2 sc in the last stitch. Turn.
Row 3
This row is a repeat of row 2 and also is worked into the back loops.
Turn.

Puff stitch 2 together: work the first puff in next stitch, skip 2 stitches and work the 2nd puff in next stitch, ch 1. **Skip 1 stitch, 1 puff in next stitch**. Repeat between ** and ** 8 more times). Repeat between ( and ) until you have 15 stitches left. At the end of the row: Skip 1 stitch, puff stitch 2 together with 2 stitches in between, ch 1. 4x: Skip 1 stitch, 1 puff in next stitch, ch 1. Skip 1 stitch, 2 dc cluster in the last stitch. Turn.
Row 5
Ch 1, 3 sc in the first stitch. *1 sc in each of the next 9 stitches (the chain-1 spaces also count as a stitch), skip 1 stitch (this is the puff stitch 2 together of the previous row), 1 sc in each of the next 9 stitches, 5 single crochet in next stitch.* Repeat between * and * until you have 20 stitches left. At the end of the row: 1 sc in each of the next 9 stitches, skip 1 stitch, 1 sc in each of the next 9 stitches, 3 sc in the last stitch. Turn.
Rows 6 – 124
Continue repeating rows 2 – 5. Change color in the 11th row, the 19th row, the 27th row, etc. (adding 8 rows each time).
Finishing the blanket
To neatly finish the blanket, I added a light blue edge on both sides using single crochet stitches. I crocheted 1 single crochet along the edges of single crochet rows and 2 single crochet along the edges of rows with puff stitches. For the best results, consider blocking the blanket.
I hope you had a great time crocheting this blanket. I’d love to see how your blanket turned out. Drop me a message or tag me on the socials so I can admire your work. Can’t wait to see it. Lisa
